Anticipation new species to the BOU list was created by Jon Holt
The identification of the paddyfield pipit in Cornwall seems to be concluded other than a pending DNA test. Will this bird be added to BOU lists in anticipation of being accepted onto Category A as was done with chestnut bunting and Dalmation pelican.

Hopefully once DNA confirms it is indeed a Paddyfield Pipit rather than an unusual Tawny Pipit I hope BUBO add it to the British list rather than delay until BOU get round to making any decision in a year or two time.

Doesn't seem to be a standard procedure to add species provisionally- still waiting for Trindade Petrel!

I've just added Trindade Petrel for those lucky enough to have connected with it.
We add pending species as soon as we are aware of them, but in case we are a bit slow (as with this one) please do post here as a reminder for us.
