Would somebody please bring the Hong Kong list on Bubo up to date?
As of 27 March 2019, the list of birds in Category I and II now stands at 552 species.

I would also add that since then, several new species have been found in Hong Kong. Most notable among them are the first ever Wood Warbler, seen by many (myself included), and a Collared Owlet (which I did not see).

We will look at it, although it won't happen for a few weeks I'm afraid. Would you like to
become a checklist editor
and make the updates directly yourself?

I'll be happy to suggest additions to the list on the forum if I hear of any sightings.
Meanwhile, if somebody could deal with the relevant updates (including the Wood Warbler) I would be grateful. As far as I'm aware, the HKBWS publishes a new official list annually.
