Hi,
Noting your reference to Hepatic Tanager, I'm seeing this species name show up in other lists/authorities well south of Nicaragua.
Also, when attempting to change in my Costa Rica list, Tooth-billed and Red Tanager are unavailable under AOCR (the only authority available for CR).
Thanks for clarifying.

Although our
AOCR Costa Rica list
is not completely up to date, I note from listaoficialavesdecostarica.wordpress.co...ista-oficial-online/ that they haven't adopted the split officially. That probably applies to other authorities too, although anyone following IOC taxonomy should be using Tooth-billed and Red Tanager.

Actually it is currently IOC only: Clements/eBird still use Hepatic Tanager.
