Used to twitch South West UK during 80's/90's but became disillusioned while chasing around Nottingham one Sunday morning for the Cedar Waxwing. As I stood in the cemetery and watched the bird I had an overwhelming sense of anti-climax and haven't really twitched since. Subsequently a change of marital status freed me up to do some serious world travel and I've always had my bins with me and kept eyes peeled ..... USA, Canada (where I was fortunate to see 5 Cedar Waxwings in the trees above my tent), Iceland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Tobago, Canaries, Turkey and much of Western Europe will all feature on my lists.
