Families

Hi Mike,
Just a query on the above feature. When I view families, from my World List for example, it shows the 'Species Available*' & 'Species Seen'. The species seen total can be clicked on to take me to which ones I've seen but the species available total links through to the PAN-species Listing page rather than that family's species.
Not sure if that's what the '*' is for, so apologies if I've missed this in a previous message.
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon
Thanks for mentioning that: it is a bug and is supposed to be only available for Pan-species Listing. I may see if I can add it for BUBO Listing as well, but it's more complicated with many different authorities.
The asterisk by the way is to indicate that the number excludes extinct species, which we do list on the full checklist. (It says this if you hover over it, but that's not at all obvious.)

Thanks for coming back Mike.
Fair enough. Having the feature for the bird lists would be great but understand the complexities re different authorities.
Cheers,
Jon

Actually it wasn't too difficult so this now works for all bird lists as well. You can now click on the "Species available" number for a family and will be taken to the authority checklist to see all the species in that family.
Cheers
