I notice that some (all?) lumped species are already greyed out on people’s lists, presumably it’s up to us to delete them?

I've been away for a while and haven't looked into this in much detail. Both IOC and eBird/Clements will be converging with Avilist with subsequent updates, so ultimately we will only have the one taxonomy, and we'll then retire the separate IOC and Clements on BUBO. The next 15.2 IOC will be 100% in line with Avilist I understand. So the easiest thing is just to wait for that and we'll handle updates in the usual way. Clements would follow similarly in time. We could introduce Avilist now, so for a while there would be three world authorities on BUBO. That means more work for us and more for anyone creating their Avilist world list: doesn't seem worth it temporarily unless anyone has any other opinions?

Hi Paul
Not sure what you're referring to here: we've made no Avilist changes. Do you just mean lumps from previous IOC/Clements updates?

Hi

Changes are being made as we speak, My Western Pal list (IOC) has had 2 species deleted in last few minutes.
