Netherlands - Dutch Birding (DB)

Dutch BirdingThe list of Dutch birds used by BUBO Listing is that published on the Dutch Birding website and based on the decisions of the Dutch rarities committee (CDNA) and Dutch committee for avian systematics (CSNA). The list used can be found on the Dutch Avifauna website here: link. 

Note that Dutch Birders do not count "established introduced species of which certainly all ancestors originated from captivity"; so bull$#*! species (category C) such as Black Swan, Common Pheasant, Common Pigeon, Rose-ringed Parakeet and House Crow are not countable for Dutch Birders.

Although English and Latin names are currently shown as standard within BUBO Listing, the Dutch names of each species are also included and can be viewed upon data entry by hovering the mouse over the English name. Moreover, these names are also listed in the source list on dutchavifauna.nl.

Genus is defaulted from the previous species row but may need overwriting; specific needs to be entered in either case.



Delete species

NB: Species name for the old taxon should be updated to differentiate it from the split taxa using a '/' or '[group]', e.g. Species A/Species B or Species A [group].
