Re:Bird family list

I've noticed that the ABA has a submission for Family ticks, whereby listing one species of a family ticks off that family from the list. Could something like that be set up on Bubo, where clicking off one species enters the family as a whole? Would there be any interest in such a list?

I list families, so would be interested in entering it here. I'm not sure it needs to be automated, and there would be discussion about what are families are currently valid...of course.

How about setting up a World ranking list for Bird Families.
Also whilst I'm here, we could expand to Countries visited, airports, islands ?  there would have to be limits of course, such as inhabited islands only, and oceanic, not lakes.

A world ranking for families seen would be good I agree, along with family targets. I'll have a think about it, but it won't come soon I'm afraid.
I'm not sure what you are mean exactly with countries, airports, and islands though?

P.S. Well done for managing to reply to a 15-year-old thread!
