Got in to birds at a very early age, joining the YOC and after graduating from Uni got a bit more serious. After joining the local RSPB Group in the early 90's started year listing, but not really twitching. Since the turn of the century have started travelling a bit further afield for new ticks, but have not got the sort of job that allows me to get away without a weeks notice! Have got in to WP birding in last couple of years and have run a few tours for myself and friends. In the UK I tend to stick to birding in the South-west still. Local patch is Sutton Bingham Reservoir, check out my blog for sightings.

I first became interested in birds after watching the brilliant David Attenborough series The life of birds in the nineties, but it wasn't until 2012 that I started going out, looking for and listing birds.
Living in Suffolk I'm spoilt for choice as far as birding locations go with the RSPB's Minsmere being the pick of the bunch.

I am an 11-year-old BUBO LISTER , known for jokes and birding at school. Generally seen on weekends chasing birds. Lucky enough to have an inspirational, birding dad, unlucky enough to have a mothing one.(Any guesses who that is?) I live in Shotesham, within twitching distance of the North Norfolk Coast, the Suffolk Coast, and Thetford Forest. I'm mainly a year lister, so don't get suprised that my 2007 year list is actually bigger than my British list!

A bird watcher fascinated by bird migration and excited by the identification of birds both by jizz and detailed in-hand examination. I enjoy local birding with the occasional trip further afield especially to the east coast.

Started birding (or at least nest finding !) when I was 8, and have been involved in birding/conservation ever since. I have now phased out to some extent, with family and work keeping me busy. I was largely brought up in central/west Norfolk and 'cut my birding teeth' in the Fens (Wisbech Sewage Farm was still active in those days) and at Snettisham. I have travelled fairly extensively both for work and on birding trips, although less so of late. I am currently living and working in Leeds as an Ecologist/Environmental Consultant.
