Got in to birds at a very early age, joining the YOC and after graduating from Uni got a bit more serious. After joining the local RSPB Group in the early 90's started year listing, but not really twitching. Since the turn of the century have started travelling a bit further afield for new ticks, but have not got the sort of job that allows me to get away without a weeks notice! Have got in to WP birding in last couple of years and have run a few tours for myself and friends. In the UK I tend to stick to birding in the South-west still.
