Been sort of birding for about 35 years but not twitching. Iin the last few years as retirement creeps up taking it a bit more seriously. made about half a dozen trips to spain and this month its Extremadura so that should increase my count.hopefully!

I was a keen if inept birder in my teens, never really learned where to go birding. Then came Uni sex & drugs & rock,n,roll, and one way or another more or less stopped birding picking it up again in 2005.
I never stopped looking at birds though, just didn't put in any effort.
I only really started getting a bit serious again in 2006.
Hence a british list of only 160
For my ref that's 141'st of 154 who actually have lists on Bubo ( with more people joining in, I guess as my list grows, my ranking is actually likely to go down !!!!)
