We are a conservation charity for everyone who cares about nature in Sussex. We focus on protecting the wonderfully rich natural life that is found across our towns, countryside and coast.
By working alongside local people we create opportunities for us all to connect with nature, and for nature to thrive in even the most unlikely places. Together we can make sure that future generations living in Sussex will be able to enjoy the sense of wonder and well-being that nature offers.

I bred british birds then border canaries in south london from 1960--1991 achieving champion and judging status. Relocation to the midlands and stricter regulations put an end to an era of bird breeding and showing.
Started twitching, made friends, found a decent pub, retired. Can`t be bad.
Bird and frog watching are my favorite hobbies. Specialising in the rare/endangered is my specialisation.

I started birdwatching in January 2010 and wish I'd started decades earlier! My plan was to concentrate on birds seen only in Essex but I've succumbed to a Britain list.
I have been so lucky to meet a great bunch of birders at all levels who have helped me immensely, thank you.
