All species encountered during a birding tour in the Malay Peninsula (southern Thailand and peninsular Malaysia). Other tours to Oriental destinations (Taiwan and Mongolia) are to be located under the actual country (again Taiwan and Mongolia). 22 species were only heard; thus 248 were actually seen. Seven of these "heard only" species have been seen elsewhere in the world (Lesser Coucal, Asian Koel, Large Hawk-Cuckoo, Hodgson's Hawk-Cuckoo, Common Emerald Dove, Brown Hawk-Owl and Pin-striped Tit-Babbler).
