BirdLife Cyprus maintain the Cyprus checklist. The version of this used by BUBO Listing retains the species naming and sequence as used by AERC, but otherwise follows the taxonomy used by BirdLife Cyprus. In particular, note that Common and Black Scoters are not split, Heuglin's Gull is split from Herring Gull, Common and Siberian Stonechats are split and Kurdish and Red-tailed Wheatears are not split (at the time of writing there are five Cyprus records, all deemed to be Kurdish).
