Africa IOC

The IOC Africa list uses a subset of species from the complete world taxonomy maintained by the IOC and which is updated regularly at www.worldbirdnames.org.

The geographical limits of this list are the continent of Africa up to the border between Egypt/Israel, as well as associated islands including Cape Verde but not the Canaries. Note that, unlike ABC, the Azores are not included.

Genus is defaulted from the previous species row but may need overwriting; specific needs to be entered in either case.
