Falcated Duck was created by Mike Prince
A Falcated Duck seen recently near Faro has been added as pending to the Portugal List on behalf of one of the observers. Whether it is likely to be accepted as a wild bird though is unclear, so it may well be removed in due course..

This is the 4 falcated duck in Portugal in recent years, the first was considered likely to be a escape, the other 2 i'm not sure that they were submitted, this one is going to be submitted but since the species is usually considered a escape in Europe the probable outcome is to be classified in the D category. It´s going to be a bit odd if in Portugal is A category and in central Europe is D and E…

In any case I’m going there tomorrow, but not for a insurance tick, in the same waterworks is a male American Wigeon, and that one is countable.
