Your list is missing Robin (or some other species)

The most frequent support request we get is from listers trying to add a species that they expect to be available, and not being able to find it. This is when using the Add Species to List option from My Lists.

The two methods for selecting a species here, i.e. the input box where you can type part of the name and the "family tree" where you can select a species, both work similarly. The list of species consists of all those species that are available to add to the particular list in question. This means:

• The species must be recognised by the authority in question
• The species must not already have been added to this list

Normally one of these two points apply, e.g. you are trying to add a subspecies that the authority does not recognise, or you have recorded the species previously but didn't realise you had already added it.

If this does not seem to be the case then first try logging out and back in again to see if it makes any difference, otherwise contact us with details of the list and species you are working with.
