Just wondering when these changes - such as Eastern Black Redstart - will be made to the British List?

Hopefully soon. Or maybe the list is updated annually? Apologies for noting previously how and when such updates are maintained.

Nick, 'Eastern' Black Redstart has been accepted onto the British List as Phoenicurus ochruros phoenicuroides/xerophilus/rufiventris (see here: www.bou.org.uk/about-the-bou/recent_news/ ) so is of no current interest to the list maintained on Bubo.

There is a page on the Bubo website somewhere about how list updates (of full rather than subspecies of course!) are incorporated.

Apologies, for some reason I had misinterpreted that the redstart had been given full independent status, when it had only been accepted onto the British list.
