BOU Combined list Ruddy Shelduck

Looking at BOU Combined list, I see Ruddy Shelduck is at number 16. 2 people have it on their lists.

How does that work when its not on the BOU list (though many feel it should be)?

Again, please excuse any historic ignorance on my behalf, is this because it once was a Cat B species? But sinc removal 2 people have not taken it off and on BUBO unti they do it will still show as being part of the Combined BOU list?

Hi Nick

It still is a category B species: which means anyone who saw it before 1950 is perfectly entitled to it :)

There is a small loophole in BUBO Listing where it is possible to add Ruddy Shelduck even though it is not generally made available, so these two listers probably inadvertently found it. I won't say how it happened though ;)
