A large number of birders in Finland managed to catch up with the country's first ever Eurasian Black Vulture (or Cinereous Vulture) Aegypius monachus in May as it was tracked along the southern coast for three days until it crossed the border into Russia.

See a nice picture of it dwarfing a couple of Ravens , and a further selection of photos (including a map of its journey) on the Tarsiger website .

Eurasian Black Vulture has now been added to the Finland list on BUBO Listing .
