A direct message choice

Could a direct message choice be on the website. As Ive just joined and was thinking if there was a point of information on someone's listing that maybe they would like to go into more detail etc on what types of birds the person is interested in.

No, this is not something we will be doing. Although some may find it helpful I expect very few would opt-in to this, and it is likely (based on experience from other platforms) to lead to unpleasant interactions from an annoying minority!

Many of our users are active on Twitter and have their Twitter handle in their profile, so that is one option if you do want to contact someone. Otherwise it's always worth posting in this forum (or somewhere like www.birdforum.net/ ) as it might be worth a wider discussion.
