What to show on BUBO home page?

We are thinking of making some small changes to the content of the BUBO home page. At the moment the home page shows the top 10s for your home country year list, home country life list and world life list, plus a breakdown of the most popular lists. One suggestion we quite like is to allow the user to choose which list (or lists) are shown on the home page, instead of automatically showing the country lists. In this way you could have the top 10s for your local patch(es) if you preferred.

What would you like to see on the BUBO home page?

Well, at least I'd like to get the World lists posted first, above the Brit ones, which is what I see now first thing on the Home page. Britain is not my home country, and my list there is abysmal. Zero, to be precise.

What should actually be happening now (but it clearly isn't!) is that you should see Japan lists and not Britain lists. It's supposed to detect where you are from your IP address and therefore show you lists from that country. Since we only launched Japan recently I think it hasn't refreshed, and is defaulting to Britain. Can you try clearing your cache, and importantly deleting any cookies from bubo.org? Might just work!

Hmm...did both, but to no effect. I'll be patient.

Ah yes, wasn't set up properly! Try clearing things again and see if Japan comes up.

Nope, but I think I am failing to do something. I can clear my cache and delete your cookies in my Firefox options, but when I access BUBO, my Username and Password still appear automatically in their boxes. There's something I'm failing to erase. Any idea what it is? (I realize that this is beyond your responsibility, but I have no shame about pleading for help with these satanic machines.)

Well, since we got nowhere with a couple of other attempts it looks like you'll need to wait for the new, improved home page
