Been an active birder for about 20 years. I concentrate mostly on my ABA North American, Canadian, and British Columbia lists.
I am a volunteer with the Birding Pal organization, specializing in Manning Provincial Park, one of the hotspots for birding in British Columbia.
I started birding during my Biology degree in 2007. My lists in Portugal include my observations in the Madeira island. Records from birds sound are not included.

Often grumpy but usually polite.
Apparently a "lefty green jobsworth cretin"
Got in to birds at a very early age, joining the YOC and after graduating from Uni got a bit more serious. After joining the local RSPB Group in the early 90's started year listing, but not really twitching. Since the turn of the century have started travelling a bit further afield for new ticks, but have not got the sort of job that allows me to get away without a weeks notice! Have got in to WP birding in last couple of years and have run a few tours for myself and friends. In the UK I tend to stick to birding in the South-west still. Local patch is Sutton Bingham Reservoir, check out my blog for sightings.
Started birding in 1971 at Titchfield Haven. Travelled widely in Uk twitching but now mainly concentrate on Local Patch birding on Hayling Island and my Hampshire List
I Bird in Kentucky and Tennesse, USA mostly
I first became interested in birds after watching the brilliant David Attenborough series The life of birds in the nineties, but it wasn't until 2012 that I started going out, looking for and listing birds.
Living in Suffolk I'm spoilt for choice as far as birding locations go with the RSPB's Minsmere being the pick of the bunch.
