We spend most of the year working on Bardsey Island. Our year-list requires both of us to see the same bird at the same time. The vast majority of our year list will be on foot, confined to an island. And, we have a 7 week disadvantage because we'll be working in the Caribbean.

Birder since seventies, travelled fairly widely in search of birds. Main lists, world, Britain, Yorkshire
I have been studying natural history for some 35 years, 23 in a professional capacity. I am now a freelance entomologist/ecologist based in the south east after working for wildlife charities for nearly 20 years. I am the county recorder for Heteroptera and spiders in both Sussex counties. My main areas of interest are spiders, bugs, beetles, bees, moths, rock-pooling etc and a lot of my spare time is spent in the field. I manage a database of over quarter of a million records, have been a driving force in the PSL community from the start, involved with both websites, the Facebook group and I'm currently writing a book on it all.
Don't pay much heed to some of the dates of my sightings, I'll gradually get round to putting the right ones in.
Only started birding 2008 (in my fifties) and began keeping lists and notes in October 08 - trying to make up for lost time. So far, most of my birding is local.
Professional local government ecologist anf all round naturalist.
a.k.a. The Tall Twitcher. Dedicated local birder, still trying to get out and about, although having been diagnoses with CFS/ME in 2015 I can't get around like I use to. All records are from when I recommenced the hobby at the start of 2007. Tweet anything good that I'm lucky enough to see @talltwitcher
