If I ever disappear I probably just wandered off into the woods looking at birds and decided not to come back.

Cyprus Birding tour guide. Wants to travel and get into pro-videography with birds/wildlife.
Originally a bird photographer carrying stupidly large lenses. Newly back into birding with Swarovski spotting scope and binoculars and it still feels heavy.

Birdwatcher 40+ years, led tours for 2 companies in Britain. Recorder for local nature reserve - WeBS & CBC
Retired accountant with music cycling and walking as hobbies/
always enjoyed Travel as part of my job and the opportunity to use bird-watching as a relaxation from work(1962-1982) Map reading a minor occupation especially sourcing sites for my hobbies.Retirement in 2000 with dimishing eyesight reliant on son and friends for verification of species-enjoyment no less keen.
I'm a semi-retired freelance TV Producer/Director who has been lucky enough to visit so far 67 countries worldwide on business or holiday. I started birdwatching in 1955 in Bognor, Sussex, and from my contemporary notes see that I found that year 6 Cirl Bunting nests and 2 Hawfinch nests within a mile of my home!
I now live on the South Hampshire coast and specialise in an area within a 25 mile radius of my home. I'm afraid I'm very lazy. I've never "twitched" a bird--I haven't even bothered to go and add the White Tailed Eagle currently in North Hants to my list. I'd rather wait for birds to come to my patch. And sooner or later they usually do.
Life-long birdwatcher. Intense British twitcher through 1980's and 90's. Officially retired from British twitching in 2000 but will still go for close ticks. Lived abroad in Qatar from 2007. Four years in China, three years in Malaysia, now in Nepal, hopefully until I retire.
Have been birding since the beginning of 2000, with a few previous sightings added to my lists
